Capital Region Game Project

Capital Region Game Project is a joint course of Metropolia UAS, Haaga-Helia UAS, Laurea UAS, Stadin ammattiopisto, and Amiedu.
It is held once a year as a part of Chips for Game Skills -project.

The CRGP starts again on the 23rd of September. The multidisciplinary project combines team members from different schools and different expertise backgrounds. On the first day, the students choose a game project and work with that project during the whole autumn. You can also pitch your own game idea.

What we offer for you:

-lectures from the pros about the subjects that usually are not in the curriculum

What we expect from you:
-You can work in a team for example as a designer, artist, programmer, producer or sound designer
-You have at least a basic level expertise of your field, i.e. know how to use the basic tools.
-You can commit to the project for the whole season.

Expected outcomes:
-a game
-improvements in teamwork skills, communication skills, pitching skills, game development skills
-a better understanding of the roles and required skills of other team members
= all this is highly valuable when applying for an internship or a job.

Do you have an idea for a game you want to create?
– The best ideas and pitches will be chosen for the course.
– Answer in the application form, that you have an idea you want to pitch and you will be contacted for more information on your idea.
– You can pitch your game idea on the first day of the project.
